In-house mobile chip is not a new thing as we have plenty of devices from Samsung, Huawei, and Apple which powered by their own developed chip. Well, now another smartphone brand is all set to follow the big guns and that is Oppo. The Chinese smartphone brand is developing its own processor to power the next generation Oppo smartphones.
According to a trademark that is filed in EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), the popular smartphone brand Oppo is in the mood for its own chip and that will be called Oppo M1. Having said that, the guys who are familiar with the upcoming processor said that Oppo has hired engineers from Speadtrum and MediaTek to develop its own M1 chip.
As of now, there is no official word by Oppo and there is no unusual in that. We expect that the company will announce or showcase its upcoming Oppo M1 mobile chipset at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2020.
