After launching the Reno 4 Pro to capture the upper midrange segment, Oppo is back with the new Oppo F17 and F17 Pro duo to conquer the mid-range segment. The successors to the popular F15 and F15 Pro unveiled back in January, these smartphones come with glossy design, AMOLED screen and more. Without wasting more time let us check out the details of Oppo F17 Series.
Oppo F17 Pro
The smartphone features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1080P resolution along with 20:9 aspect ratio. The display is tuned to refresh at 60 Hz per second unlike most other smartphones these days, The display supports HD video playback in most OTT apps and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3+. Towards the top left of the screen, we have a dual punch hole to house the two selfie cameras.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio P95 chipset and the same is paired with 8GB RAM and the phone comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage.
Moving to the photography department, Oppo F17 Pro rocks a Quad camera setup – 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture followed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and two 2MP monochromatic sensors. On the front, the smartphone comes with a 16MP camera assisted by a 2 MP depth sensor to improve bokeh effect. The smartphone also supports an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Regarding the connectivity options, the Oppo F17 Pro include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, 5G. It runs Color OS 7.2 on top of Android 10 and the packs a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 30W VOCC 4.0 fast charging, that can charge the battery from 0% to 100% in under an hour. The dimensions are fairly trim as it weighs just over 160 grams and is only 7.5 mm thick.
Oppo F17
The specifications of Oppo F17 remains fairly identical to the Pro. From display to the battery and charging all remain the same. Where the story starts spinning off is in the processor. The Oppo F17 is powered by the new Snapdragon 662, built on 8nm fabric. This brings one upgrade when compared to the Pro variant as the F17 comes with support for WiFi 6 (ax), thanks to the SoC whereas the F17 Pro comes with WiFi 5 (ac) on board.
The cameras also suffer a downgrade as the primary rear shooter is brought down to 16 MP from 48 MP and is in the combination of f/2.2 lens. The selfie camera housed inside a teardrop notch also looses the 2 MP secondary portrait sensor but rest remains identical. The memory configurations range from 4/64 GB going all the way to 8/128 GB
Availability and Pricing
The Oppo F17 Pro is available for pre-order from tonight and the sale is scheduled to commence from September 7. The only 8/128 GB variant will cost you Rs 23,000. As of now, the company has not revealed much about the pricing and availability of the F17, but make sure to stick around to know more about it.
