Just like it was promised, today the Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has unveiled its new mid-range device called Oppo K3, along with new power banks and car charger. The smartphone is coming with the latest trend of pop-up selfie camera along with lots of cool specifications. Specifications of Oppo K3
The smartphone sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution along with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and DC dimming feature. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor along with 6GB and 8GB of RAM, and has 64/128/256 GB of internal storage and that is powered by UFS 2.1 technology. The device also comes with GameBooster 2.0 which will bring Frame Boost and Touch Boost features to enhance the gaming experience. That’s not all, the smartphone also features LinkBoost 2.0 that is touted to uplift the network performance.
Coming to the camera, the Oppo K3 rocks a dual camera set up at the back and that is in the combination of a 16-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device also features a pop-up selfie camera that has a 16-megapixel camera sensor. The camera department also features AI portrait mode and AI scene detection. There is also an Ultra Clear Night View 2.0 feature to brighten dark shots using a software algorithm.
Oppo has implemented and new in-display fingerprint sensor in the device and it uses compensating projection technology, and gives 28.5% increased unlocking speed along with the 10% more unlocking success rate over the traditional in-display fingerprint scanner.
Talking about the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. The smartphone runs on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie, and it ships on 3,765 mAh battery that supports fast charging through Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 technology.

The company has also unveiled two power bank along with the new Oppo K3, and its called Oppo VOOC and Super VOOC. The Oppo VOOC has 20W two-way charging support, the Oppo Super VOOC comes with 50W two-way charging support. Both come with a USB Type-C port and have two 5,000 mAh battery packs. Finally, the Oppo’s car charger is dubbed as Super VOOC car charger and that will offer fast charging.
Pricing and availability
The pricing of the Oppo K3 starts at CNY 1,599 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB variant, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant will have the price tag of CNY 1,899, and 8GB RAM + 256GB variant will be yours for CNY 2,299. The device will go on sale from June 1 and it is currently available for pre-order through Oppo shop in China.
Speaking about the 20W VOOC power bank with 10,000 mAh battery is priced at CNY 279, and the Super VOOC option is priced at CNY 379. While the Super VOOC car charger is priced at CNY 199.
