On 15 February 2022 OPPO shared an interesting new announcement on its official Weibo account (a Chinese microblogging website). The OPPO has revealed that it will be collaborated with Hasselblad for the Find X series cameras of the next generation of flagship smartphones.
For the uninitiated, Hasselblad is a well-known professional camera maker from Sweden. In the past it has been patterned with other smartphone brands like OnePlus. Currently, it works with OPPO for upcoming premium grade handsets.
According to the official announcement, the Chinese company has announced a partnership with Hasselblad, and includes major technological innovations. This includes the joint research and development of Hasselblad Focus color as well as computational color and computational optics.
Additionally, these new cameras have been optimized by the professional camera maker for its high end Find X series smartphones. With the merger of OPPO with OnePlus, the two companies will share their research and development platform and resources, which means more users will benefit from Hasselblad cameras. It’s worth noting that the MariSilicon X NPU imaging chipset dedicated to photography follows the company’s announcement.
