Over the past few years device security has undergone from a lot of innovations. From one touch Fingerprint Unlock to 3D Face Unlock and now In-display Fingerprint, users are now used to easy unlocking. Still the OEMs are trying to bring new form of unlocking to different type of devices. Oppo is also known for bringing good innovations, and today’s news is about the same.
According to this latest report, Oppo has registered a new patent named as “Venous Unlocking Method and Vein Unlocking Device”. This popular Chinese brand applied for this patent back in 2019, which is registered now. As the name suggests, the veins of our hands or palm can be used to unlock the device. As some reports suggest that Oppo had this patent for its wearable devices, we can expect that the device can be unlocked by veins when we wear the device, mostly on hands.
As of now we don’t know if Oppo is actually working on this tech or not? Or maybe they just registered it for future. Personally, this Vein Unlocking looks very cool and can be handier. If it works when we wear the device rather than placing our hand in front of the sensor to unlock. Now what are your thoughts on this new patent by Oppo? Let us know in the comment section below.
