After lots of leaks, rumours, and teasers, the popular Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has officially unveiled its latest Oppo Reno 9 series in the market of China. The smartphone series includes Oppo Reno 9, Oppo Reno 9 Pro, and Oppo Reno 9 Pro Plus. Oppo has focused on camera and the devices are coming with fast charging solution as well. Specifications of Oppo Reno 9 and Oppo Reno 9 Pro
Both devices are featuring a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with 2412 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a punch hole setup at the centre position of the screen. It is also featuring 394 PPI along with a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit panel. The display is protected by Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2 and the devices support up to 950 nits peak brightness.
The vanilla variant of the smartphone series is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G mobile processor. On the other hand, the Pro model is coming with the power of a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset along with MariSilicon X NPU for image processing.
The vanilla variant is coming with up to 12 GB and the Pro model is coming with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and both devices are coming with up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone series is running on Android 13 with ColorOS 13 out of the box.
The devices feature autofocus-enabled 32MP RGBW front facing camera while the back panel of the device of Oppo Reno 9 features a 64MP primary sensor along with a 2MP monochrome snapper. While the Oppo Reno 9 Pro features a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
Regarding the connectivity options, both devices support dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The devices are also featuring an in-display fingerprint sensor for an additional layer of security. Both Oppo devices offer graphite cooling system and the devices are also supporting infrared sensor. The devices are housing a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging.
Specifications of Oppo Reno 9 Pro Plus
The device is featuring a 6.7-inch AMOLED display along with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 2160 2160Hz PWM dimming. It is also featuring curved edges and a punch-hole set up at the centre position of the screen.
Speaking about the camera department, the Oppo Reno 9 Plus features an autofocus-enabled 32-megapixel (Sony IMX709) selfie camera. While the back panel of the device is featuring an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel primary camera (Sony IMX890) along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel mono lens, and an LED flash. It is also featuring a MariSilicon chip for a better photography experience in low-light conditions. The camera department of the device is also supporting 60fps 4K video recording.
The new Oppo Reno 9 Pro Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile processor along with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is housing a 4,700mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Pricing and availability
The Oppo Reno 9 with 8GB + 256GB is priced at ¥2,499 while the 12GB + 256GB storage model is having a price tag of ¥2,699 and the 12GB + 512GB is priced at ¥2,999. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 9 Pro with 16GB + 256GB is coming with a price tag of ¥3,499 and the 16GB + 512GB model will be yours for ¥3,799.
While the Oppo Reno 9 Pro Plus model is official with 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage at 3,999 Yuan and the 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage option costs 4,399 Yuan. The smartphone series will be available in the market of China from December 2.
