PayPal the American online payment system and the same offers its service in almost every part of the world. It offers domestic payment service including India but now we got a new piece of information which will definitely hurt the merchants of the country who depends on this particular channel.
The company has confirmed that it will stop the domestic payment service in India and the same will be effective from April 1, 2021, and it is not an April fool joke.
It is also confirmed that the company will start to notify the merchants of the country from tomorrow onwards which means February 6. PayPal said that it is shifting from domestic products and bringing more International sales via cross border payments to the users of the country.
It is worth mentioning that the domestic payment service was started in India way back in 2017 and now after three years, the company has decided to stop the service.
