Google wants to let its users know that the second generation Pixel smartphones have a tamper-resistant hardware security module to give that extreme security status.
Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices can resist exploits like KRACK and other junks. Right from starting of Android we have been given some importance to Security. Right from Lockscreen and OTP to use money transfers and even installing Antivirus has been from the Age.
Now the smartphone generation has been at its max, no we don’t prefer software to resist exploits. We use Hardware to attack exploits and other kinds of stuff, like the Fingerprint sensor which is used to unlock the devices and even for payment methods. Here is the reason why Google has introduced Tamper-Resistant Hardware module which is a dedicated chipset for Security which has its own RAM, processing units, Flash and other pieces of stuff.
So, we know that Google smartphones come with both software as well as hardware integration in terms of Security. And we hope that the Security module will also move on to other smartphone makers in future.
