Pixel XL 2 could come with Always-On Ambient Display, Squeezable frame and more

Just 2 days ago, we got the exact look of the next generation Google Pixel device and with some information about the device. And now we got some more information about the Pixel XL 2 device which is codenamed as Taimen, has been revealed so let’s have a look on it.



According to source, the Pixel XL 2 will come with Always-On Display, squeezable frame and display profiles. Speaking about the Always-On Ambient Display, it wakes the screen when you receive a new notification. Which means the display remains always on and shows notification and other useful information like date and time, Google also considering the fact that it will be coming with an OLED display panel which is another useful addition by the Mountain View company.


Moving to other features, in our previous report it said that the device will feature the squeezable frame and now it seems the information is accurate. As the new report also says that device will come with squeezable frame, which will work as shortcut feature and you can use the feature whether the screen is on or off. You will able to launch Google Assistant, adjust the intensity of using to the user’s likes. Moreover, the company also plans to add some useful functions into the frame like silencing the incoming calls.


The source also says that the device will have sRGB mode, which we seen on Nexus devices earlier. Now the feature will come under the Display Settings, instead of Developer Options. And the device will also come ‘Vivid Colours’ mode, in this way the device features two display profiles.


Moreover, in the source also shows an octopus in the ocean of the Easter Egg of Android O. And the system theme will also be darker and we might see a new font system as well in the device.
