After much hype and all the teasing, leaks and rumours, Poco has officially announced the Poco X3 Pro. It poses as the successor to the critically viewed Poco X3 bearing Snapdragon 860 and a 120Hz display. However, it features the same rear design as the Poco X3 which might be a turn off for some people. As it comes with aggressive pricing and flagship-grade SoC to the European market, we expect it to turn heads. Let us check out the specifications and features of the Poco X3 Pro in detail.
Specifications of Poco X3 Pro
It features a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate with DynamicSwtich feature, along with a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and supports HDR10 rating, it also sports a 20:9 aspect ratio and the same is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The selfie camera is housed inside a centred punch hole and has a contrast ratio of 1500:1.
It is powered by the flagship range Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC, along with Adreno 640 GPU, and the same is matted with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. In terms of storage, it supports up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 and that can be expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. The company has included LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus for extended gaming sessions.
Moving to the photography department, the latest Poco X3 Pro rocks a quad rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, followed by an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture 119-degree wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and lastly a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, the smartphone offers a 20-megapixel sensor, the smartphone is also coming with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with the face unlock to provide an extra layer of security. It will be available in Phantom Black, Frost Blue, Metal Bronze colours.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, GPS/ A-GPS, IR Blaster, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers that support Hi-Res Audio and a USB Type-C port. It also features a z-axis linear vibration motor for superior haptics. It is backed by a 5,160mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and the same runs on MIUI 12 for Poco based on Android 11.
Pricing and availability
It is priced at EUR 249 for the base 6GB + 128GB storage variant and the 8GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at EUR 299 but the company has announced an early bird pricing of EUR 199 and EUR 249 for them as well. It will go on sale on March 24 and the company is expected to launch this smartphone in India in a week.
