Well, the hike in the pricing of smartphones is due to the recent increase of GST by the Indian Government. Well, popular brands such as Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Realme have announced their revised pricing for the existing smartphones and of course, the upcoming devices will also come with the extra amount of tax.
Talking about each and every brand, the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi said that the company does not have any other option other than increasing the pricing and it also said that the company works on less than 5% of profit and the new pricing will be effective on its devices immediately.
While the tech giant Apple has confirmed that its devices will be expensive by 5% and the new pricing will be effective from the iPhone 7 to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. On the other hand, the popular Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has also revised the pricing of its devices and the changes start from ₹500 to ₹2,000 on a different set of smartphones and the new pricing will effect on both the budget as well as premium smartphones.
Finally, the smartphone brand Realme has also increased the pricing of its devices and that means now the company will need to charge extra amount from its by fans as well as the smartphone buyers and it also need to work hard to stay on its aggressive pricing strategy.
Having said that, the company forced to increase the pricing of its devices from Realme 5 series to the latest Realme 6 series and the Realme X2 and X2 Pro remain on the same price.
