Qualcomm has just introduced a new Mobile Platform as an upgrade to the in-demand Snapdragon 730 Series. The new mobile platform is named Snapdragon 732G. It promises to deliver superior gaming performance on mid-range smartphones. Following the announcement, Poco has confirmed that they will be the first brand to bring a smartphone with the newly unveiled chipset.
Qualcomm claims the new Snapdragon 732G offers advanced AI algorithms along with improved GPU and CPU performance. It features a Qualcomm Kryo 470 CPU Prime core that can touch a clock speed of up to 2.3 GHz. In comparison, the Snapdragon 730G is clocked at a maximum speed of 2.2 GHz. The Adreno 618 inside it is said to bring better graphics rendering. Along with these improvements, the new SoC will also feature the Snapdragon Elite Gaming technology that is expected to offer improved gaming performance and more realistic colors. The new 4th Generation AI Engine is touted to better predict user actions. The connectivity options are handled by the Snapdragon X15 LTE modem, offering faster upload and download speeds.
Following the announcement, Poco came forward to share the news that their upcoming smartphone will debut the newly announced chipset. The new smartphone from Poco is expected to be announced on September 7, which is about a week from now. According to several rumors, the new smartphone from Poco will be called Poco X3, and it will be the successor to the champion of the mid-range segment Poco X3. The Poco X3 is expected to be backed up a 5,020 mAh battery coupled with a 33W fast charger. Speaking about the display, Poco will use an LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate as well.
