Qualcomm, the crucial pillar of any smartphone as it offers mobile chipset which powers the device to carry out various purposes. The company has now confirmed to host an event on May 20 and the company is expected to announce two new mobile chipsets during the event.
Apart from confirming the date of the event, the company did not reveal any other information about the upcoming chipsets but it is expected that the company will be launching Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
Based on the previous reports and leaks, the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will use ARM Cortex A710 and Cortex A510 cores and the same will be clocked at 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz, respectively. The chipset is also believed to arrive with the Adreno 662 GPU. It is worth mentioning that the chipset is also believed to debut on the upcoming Oppo Reno 8 smartphone which will be announced on May 23 in China.
On the other hand, the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus is built on TSMC‘s 4nm process instead of Samsung’s 4nm process and the same will power the upcoming flagship Smartphones of this year.
