The popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm has officially announced the Dragonwing Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) Gen 4 Elite at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025) and the same features the Qualcomm X85 5G modem and the same can offer a peak download speed of 12.5 Gbps, tri-band Wi-Fi i7, and 14km mmWave 5G connectivity. It also comes with a quad-core processor and it also features a Hexagon NPU coprocessor and the same can offer up to 40 TOPS performance.

The latest Dragonwing FWA Gen 4 Elite and the same comes with a quad-core processor with dedicated network acceleration along with a Hexagon NPU that can deliver up to 40 TOPS AI processing. It also comes with the new Qualcomm X85 5G Modem-RF as well.
It is capable to offer peak 5G download speeds of over 12.5Gbps, and mmWave 5G network range of 14km. It is also supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, along with tri-band Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. It can also support 5G Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) support.
The Dragonwing FWA Gen 4 Elite also comes with non-terrestrial network (NTN) support and the same enables satellite connectivity on compatible devices. The processor also features a 8Rx/ 6Rx antenna setup
While the new Qualcomm X85 Modem-RF is the first from the company with a bandwidth of 400MHz. It also features mmWave 5G via a Qualcomm QTM565 module along with sub-6GHz 5G networks. It also supports 5G and 4G LTE networks, and the Qualcomm X85 Modem-RF also enables satellite connectivity on compatible devices. It also features Turbo DSDA with 3 component carriers (3CC) and 1CC and the same to provide higher throughput in download and upload speeds.
It also comes with features including Advanced Modem-RF software suite and the same enables network selection that has the power of the on-device machine learning.
