Qualcomm Will Launch Mid-Range Chips With 144Hz Refresh Rate Support

Qualcomm has been working on several chipsets targeting mid-range devices. Recently, Qualcomm has announced some processors that will be launching under the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series based on their part numbers founded by Winfuture.de. These processors may have G-suffix naming which Qualcomm has used for Snapdragon 700 series. The chipset may incorporate gaming variants too to impress the people who love to choose mid-range categories.

Qualcomm SM6375

Qualcomm SM6375 will come in four variants. All these four variants will sport a similar base with various clock rates for CPU and GPU. The GPU clock rate is said to be between 940Hz and 960Hz. Moreover, these four variants consist of 8 CPU cores made with four Gold cores and four Silver cores.

As per the source, one of those chips has a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and at least one may adopt the G-suffix

The configuration spotted are;

• 4x Gold cores at 2.1GHz + 4x Silver cores 1.8GHz
• 4x Gold cores at 2.2GHz + 4x Silver cores 2.0GHz
• 4x Gold cores at 2.3GHz + 4x Silver cores 2.1GHz
• 4x Gold cores at 2.5GHz + 4x Silver cores 2.2GHz

Qualcomm SM6225

Qualcomm SM6225 is the second chipset in the line-up and it is expected to place under the Snapdragon 690. Further details on the CPU and GPU are unavailable. However, it is somehow similar to the snapdragon 765 or SM7250

According to the reports, the specs of these testing platforms are in line with mid-range devices having 6GB of RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 90 Hz FHD display

There are no further details regarding the node size of the two chips. Both Qualcomm SM6375 and Qualcomm SM6225 are manufactured by TSMC. These two chips are expected to be launch this year itself.
