Just yesterday, Qualcomm announced the latest and greatest Snapdragon 888 processor and that will power the flagship Smartphones of 2021. But the company did not reveal the complete specification details at that time but today on the second day of the event Qualcomm has revealed The detailed specifications and features of the newly announced mobile chipset.

Detailed specifications of Qualcomm Snapdragon 888

The latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 will provide faster connectivity over 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The latest mobile chipset is built on 5nm and the same features third-generation Snapdragon X60 modem which will offer 5G sub-6 carrier aggregation and mmWave to provide up to 7.5Gbps speeds.

Its also uses Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) technology to provide 5G support to all major networks worldwide and the same will also support Global 5G multi-SIM.

The latest mobile chipset is also coming with an all-new Wi-Fi connectivity, and that is the Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 Mobile Connectivity System that brings Wi-Fi 6 at up to 3.6Gbps and Qualcomm also offers new 6GHz capacity over Wi-Fi 6E. It will also provide support for Bluetooth 5.2, along with dual Bluetooth antennas and Qualcomm aptX suite. It will also support GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, SBAS, and NFC.

The Snapdragon 888 SoC also features an improved artificial intelligence (AI) experiences and that is powered by the sixth-generation Qualcomm AI Engine along with the new Qualcomm Hexagon 780 processor. The very popular mobile chipset maker claims that the new AI Engine is capable to provide up to three times performance over the previous generation. The AI Engine is coming with the combination of scalar, vector, and tensor accelerators to provide a fused AI accelerator architecture.

Qualcomm is also offering the latest and greatest mobile chipset with the second-generation Qualcomm Sensing Hub that includes a dedicated low-power AI processor to enable features such as screen awake, lift and activity detection, and audio event detection. It is also coming with some specialities for the game lovers as the latest and greatest mobile chipset will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming and the same is said to offer highest HDR quality graphics, along with desktop-level capabilities. The chipset also brings Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and that will improve game rendering by up to 30 percent. It is coming with the power of one core of 64-bit Kryo 680 based on ARM Cortex-X1 at up to 2.84GHz, along with three Kryo 680 cores based on Cortex-A78 at up to 2.42GHz and four cores of Cortex-A55-based Kryo 680 at up to 1.8GHz. The chipset also comes with the Adreno 660 GPU that supports OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP, and Vulkan 1.1. The mobile chipset will also support LPDDR5 memory at up to 3,200MHz frequency as well as LPDDR4x at up to 2,133MHz, along with a density of up to 16GB.

Snapdragon 888 supports up to 4K display at 60Hz or QHD+ at 144Hz and the same also features HDR and HDR10+. It also supports Hexagon Voice Assistant Accelerator for hardware accelerated voice signal processing and also features Qualcomm Aqstic audio codec. There is also support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 5 technology for fast charging.

Talking about the photography, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 also supports Spectra 580 ISP and that is a first in the series with triple image signal processing. The latest mobile chipset is coming with the capability to capturing photos using three cameras simultaneously at a processing speed of up to 2.7 gigapixels per second.

The same is capable to offer 128fps burst shots and allows users to capture three 4K HDR videos at the same time.
