The satellite communication become a trend last year and the same is continuing this year as the popular chipset maker Qualcomm has joined its hand with Iridium for a new service dubbed Qualcomm Snapdragon Satellite and the same has been announced during the ongoing CES 2023 event. The company will be able to add a new capability to Android Smartphones and the same will be helpful in emergency situations.
The new setup is actually bringing the support of satellite communication during emergencies. The capability will be available on the devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and the Snapdragon X70 modem system, along with some additional radios.
It is also revealed that the new setup will be available on the supported devices from the second half of this year in the selected regions.
