Just recently Google announced the Beta version of Android P at the Google I/O event. In Android P there are a lot of new things which relates to the functionality and user interface. These changes will be kind of helpful, but all these software-based functions work properly if the hardware is capable enough to run those features. Since past few years, we have seen that most of the major smartphone brands prefer Qualcomm’s processor instead of any other processor. That’s because Qualcomm is the most efficient and compatible processor for Android so far. Now with Android P also, they are ready to be there for a sable experience with this new version.
Just after the announcement of Android P Beta, Qualcomm announced that their future processors will be compatible enough with Android P. They said that they want to make processors which will give a stable experience with a smartphone running on those Qualcomm processors. Don’t get them wrong, there current processors and even older processors are compatible with this Android P, but they want to make processors will suit perfectly with this new Android version. For this, Google is in contact with Qualcomm to give them early access to the APIs of Android P, so that they will get enough time to wisely optimize the software. Regarding current processors, most optimized processors for Android P are Snapdragon 845, 660, and 630.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Due to Qualcomm’s optimization and Project Treble, few non-Pixel users are also getting the chance to test the Android P Beta update. And we hope that in future as well we will see more dedication of smartphone OEMs as well, towards the optimization and faster updates, rather than just building an unnecessary powerhouse.
