As promised, the popular chipset maker Qualcomm has officially unveiled the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 mobile processor and the same is meant for mid-range smartphones. Qualcomm has introduced the chipset in the Snapdragon 7-series after launching the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 last year. The latest version is coming with the support for 200 megapixel camera sensor and it is claimed to offer over 50 percent improved performance compared to its predecessor. The chipset maker is claiming that the new processor is capable to offer a 13 percent improvement in power efficiency as well. It is also supporting auto variable rate shading (VRS) for gaming and it features Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless codec. Everything about Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2

The newly announced Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is featuring a peak clock speed of up to 2.91GHz and it is said to offer over 50 percent better performance over its predecessor in CPU performance. The company is also saying that the GPU of the chipset will provide a two-fold improvement and the latest mobile processor is coming with 13% better power efficiency as well. The mobile processor is coming with the Adreno 725 GPU.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is also coming with Snapdragon Elite Gaming features including VRS for optimizing content resolution as well as volumetric rendering for particle graphics such as fog and smoke. It is also having Snapdragon Sound with the Qualcomm aptX Lossless codec as well.
Speaking about the photography, the newly announced Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 supports up to 200-megapixel on the back panel along with staggered HDR video capture capability and the same will offer an improved recording. It is also featuring an 18-bit triple ISP which will enable you to capture 30 images in low light mode.

The latest Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 mobile processor is also coming with the Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF system and the same supports Dual-Sim Dual Active (DSDA) support for 5G and 4G networks. It is capable to offer download speeds of up to 4.4Gbps while conserving more power. The mobile processor is also having the Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 connectivity option and the same is said to offer speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps over Wi-Fi 6 connections.
It is also coming with a two-fold improvement in artificial intelligence tasks performance, along with 40 percent better performance per Watt compared to the previous generation. It is also featuring Qualcomm’s Sensing Hub and support for intelligently upscaling games and photos.
It is also coming with the support for WiFi 6E as well as Bluetooth 5.3. The chipset can offer a QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also offering LPDDR5 RAM along with USB 3.1 and UFS 3.1 support on the board.
Regarding the availability, the new mobile processor is expected to be official before the end of this month. The company did not reveal any information about the same.
