Realme has officially introduced its new budget smartphone called the Realme C55 and the same is official in the market of Indonesia. The company is offering the device with a mini capsule that is similar to the iPhone 14 Pro like a dynamic island. The device is actually having a punch-hole set up at the centre position of the screen but the same expands in certain scenarios. For instance, the same will expand for notifications like charging, battery status, and more. The device can also offer information about the steps and walking distance for the day as well. It is featuring a 64 megapixel primary sensor and the device is running on Android 13 out of the box. The Realme C55 features a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display along with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout at the centre position of the screen. It will respond to various notifications at the company calls the same as Mini Capsule which is similar to the dynamic island of the iPhone 14 Pro models.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 mobile processor along with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/256GB storage that can be expandable using a microSD card. It is running on Android 13 with Realme UI custom skin out of the box and the device is housing a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support.
Regarding the connectivity options, the new Realme C55 supports 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C. The device is featuring a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for the additional layer of security.
Speaking about the camera department, the newly announced Realme C55 features a 64MP primary sensor along with a 2MP depth lens on the back. The device is coming with an 8MP front facing camera.
In terms of pricing and availability, the latest Realme C55 is priced at Rp 2,499,000 for the base 6GB + 128GB model and Rp 2,999,000 for the 8GB + 256GB version. The phone will be available for purchase from March 8th in the market of Indonesia.
