Realme has officially showcased a new concept phone with the interchangeable lens at the ongoing MWC 2025 and the same is yet to go into mass production. The Realme concept phone has the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor and it comes with a capability of up to 10x optical zoom using a proprietary mount.
The company has announced that the concept phone features a Leica M mount and it is for a modular camera system. Realme has also showcased two lenses including a 73mm (about 3x zoom) portrait lens and a 234mm (about 10x zoom) telephoto lens. The device features a triple camera setup including a primary sensor, an ultrawide snapper, and the rectangular 1-inch type direct light CMOS sensor for the interchangeable lens.
It is also said that the new implementation is possible with the power of Realme’s Hyperimage+ image algorithms with DSLR optics and the interchangeable lens will enable the device to zoom at a longer distance and retain DSLR-like clarity and depth of field. The company has protected the 1-inch sensor with glass.
