We know that India is going to get it’s first 5G smartphone on 24th February by Realme. The Oppo sub-brand is going to launch Realme X50 Pro 5G smartphone in India, even though there’s no sign of 5G network in the country right now. It will have the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset and Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem. While we know many specifications of this device officially, details of the price is still unknown. But today we have a leak regarding the same, getting us even more closer to the hype of this device.
A new rumour suggests that the Realme X50 Pro will be priced around ₹50,000 ($700 approx.) in India. This rumour is from Press Trust Of India (PTI) and their source for this pricing is someone from Realme itself. Though their article is now revoked, but the news is out everywhere. Now if this pricing is going to be true, then this will be the most expensive Realme smartphone till date. But one thing to note is that there’s no mention about the storage variant. So it might be either 8+128GB variant, or even 12+256GB variant. Also the leak suggests that Realme might soon launch another 5G smartphone in India, with lower chipset. It is said to be priced around ₹25,500. This might be the X50 5G, which is currently on sale in China.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally I think that pricing might be around the stated figure, or a bit lesser maybe. But don’t expect it to come anywhere near to the Realme X2 Pro, as it has the expensive Snapdragon 865 chipset and 5G support. Now what are your thoughts on this pricing?
