Finally Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 10A in India. The device was officially launched in China late last month.The Redmi 10A is the success of the Redmi 9A smartphones launched in 2020. It does not carry any major upgrades other than the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and rear design.
Redmi 10A Specifications
In terms of features, the Redmi 10A is almost identical to the Redmi 9A. The only change in the specs is the presence of a fingerprint sensor attached to the back.
On the cosmetic front, the rear panel has a large rectangular black area, with a 13MP single camera, LED flash, Redmi branding and the fingerprint sensor mentioned above. The Redmi 10A measures 164.9 x 77 x 9mm and weighs 194 grams.
The Redmi 10A comes with MediaTek Helio G25 SoC. It has a 6.53-inch display (LCD) with 1600 x 720 pixels (HD +), 20: 9 aspect ratio and a dudrop notch with a 5MP selfie camera. The screen has a 1500: 1 contrast ratio and a maximum brightness of up to 400 nits.
Connectivity options on the Redmi 10A include dual SIM, 4G, single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and a micro USB port. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated microSD card slot, and a single speaker. Although it comes with a proximity sensor, accelerometer and proximity sensor, it does not have a compass like its predecessor.
The Redmi 10A boots MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and gets its juice from the 5,00mAh battery, which is limited to 10W charging support.

The Redmi10A will be available in India in two variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage for Rs 8,499 and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage for Rs 9,499. Its first sale is scheduled for April 26 at 12 noon. It can be purchased from Mi.com, Mi Homes, Amazon, or official retail partners. available in three colour options – Charcoal Black, Sea Blue, and Slate Gray.
