The newly announced Redmi 17 5G comes with a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a waterdrop notch and 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. The device also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to a 240Hz touch sampling rate, DC dimming, and a peak global brightness of 800 nits. It also comes with TÜV Rheinland triple eye protection certification and the device supports Wet Touch 2.0.
It runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 out of the box. The device has the power of the Unisoc T8300 octa-core processor along with 4GB / 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128G of UFS 2.2 storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.
The device houses a large 6,300mAh battery with 15W wired charging, 7.5W wired reverse charging, and PD/QC charging protocols. Speaking about the camera department, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
It also comes with 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, among others for connectivity. The device features a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
