Recently we got some leakedimages and specs of the upcoming Redmi 8 smartphone. Those photos and specs were leaked from China Telecom’s website, so we thought that this device will launch first in China. But seems like we are wrong because this smartphone is going to launch in India first.
Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India, announced the launch date of Redmi 8 in his latest tweet, and the date is just a week away i.e. 9th October. In the announcement image, we can see two cameras under the number ‘8’, so a dual camera will be there for sure. The teaser image focuses on Battery, Camera, and Action.
In the tweet it’s also teased that this smartphone will be a battery champion with 4/_ _ , now we don’t know if it’s the battery size of 4xxxmAh or something else? Because the latest launched Redmi 8a has 5000mAh battery. And regarding ‘Action’ we can assume that it will have a good CPU for immersive gaming for its price. Lastly, more storage is also mentioned here, so probably we will get a base storage of 32GB on Redmi 8.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. As of now, we don’t have an idea on the processor going to be used in Redmi 8, but I guess it will be a Snapdragon 400 series CPU only, not 600 series.
