As expected, Redmi has launched its new smartphone in the market of India and that is dubbed as Redmi 9 which is actually a slightly tweaked version of Redmi 9C which was unveiled in Malaysia a couple of weeks ago. The smartphone is coming with Ultra affordable price tag and its features and dual camera setup.
Specifications of Redmi 9
It features a 6.53 inch HD+ display with the 1600 X 720 pixels resolution along with a waterdrop like notch on the top of the screen, it also comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the latest Redmi 9 is powered with the Helio G35 octa-core SoC. The smartphones matted with 4 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB internal storage. The smartphone also allow users to expand the storage via microSD card.
Moving to the camera department, the Redmi 9 rocks dual rear camera setup – 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth lens along with an LED flash. It also feature 5-megapixel front camera. The same also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Regarding the connectivity options, the Redmi 9 supports dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, IR blaster and 3.5mm audio jack. It packed with 5,000 mAh battery and boots on Android 10 OS along with MIUI 11.
Pricing and availability
It is priced at ₹8,999 for the 64GB storage variant, while the 128GB storage option comes for ₹9,999. The smartphone will available through Amazon and Mi.com. Its first sale will begin at 12 pm (noon) on August 31.
