Redmi, the very popular brand which is known for its aggressive pricing attitude has launched a new device and that is not a smartphone but a wearable. It is actually true wireless earphones and the device is dubbed as Redmi Air Dots S. Having said that, it is actually a rebranded version of the last year launched AirDots but comes with some changes. The newly unveiled Redmi Redmi Air Dots S is the truly wireless earphones with support for Bluetooth 5.0, and the same also offers mono sound output. The earbuds also supports low-latency for the game mode and the Redmi Air Dots S also has a touch-sensitive button, to control music playback as well as voice assistants such as Google Assistant or Siri.
Having said that, the new AirDots have a 40 mAh battery, which the company claims can offer 4 hours of battery life, and the charging case for the headphones has a 300 mAh battery which can recharge the wearable to offer up to 12 hours of playback. And the earbuds have 7.2mm dynamic drivers and have a built-in DSP with “environment noise reduction”. Finally, the device is also coming with an IPX4 rating that means you can go to the pool or in the rain without the worry of having the device in the ears.
Talking about the pricing and availability, the device is priced at CNY 99, the same will available in the market of China and there is no information about the availability of the same in other parts of the world.
