Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO, shared a post on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo and revealed that the Android 10 update is heading for the Redmi K20 Pro which is the latest flagship of the brand. Having said that, only the Chinese units will get the update as of now. Which means the company is pushing the update in its home country only but we expect that Redmi will expend the roll out to other parts of the country as well without any delay.
Furthermore, he also said that other Xiaomi phones will also receive the update soon. And the Redmi K20 Pro users who participated in the Android 10 beta testing will be the first to enjoy the updated software.
This is really going to see that brands update as soon as after the official rollout of the new version of the Android, and this also give a big comfort to the smartphone users as well. Because till now only Google users get the update and others to wait for a long time to get this latest update. We also expect that other brands will also upgrade devices to the latest version of Android and the latest version of Android will get some good numbers in the Android distribution chart.
