We are just a couple of hours away for the official announcement of the new Redmi K40 series and the company already confirmed that the upcoming smartphone series will be powered by MediaTek and Qualcomm mobile chipset but there is no clarity on which processor will power the vanilla variant.

Now the vanilla variant of the upcoming smartphone series appeared on the popular benchmarking website and the same reveals important specifications along with information about the processor. According to the benchmarking website, the upcoming Redmi K40 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and that is the successor of Qualcomm 865 processor which power the flagship smartphones last year.

The website also confirms that the upcoming smartphone will have 8GB of RAM and the device will run on Android 11 operating system out of the box. The device also managed to score 1016 points in the single core test and 3332 points in the multi core test.

It is confirmed that the upcoming Redmi K40 series will feature an AMOLED display and offer a 120 Hz refresh rate. It also reveals that the company will launch its upcoming smartphone series with a new generation under display fingerprint scanner and the same will offer a large area to place the finger of a user.

The upcoming Redmi K40 series goes up for the reservation in China through JD.com and it is confirmed that the smartphone series has received more than 230,000 reservations within two days.
