After being on the headlines for the past couple of days the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition has been officially announced in the market of China alongside the Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition. Both devices are coming with the power of the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and the same features “Dual VC” heat dissipation set up. It is also coming with a 120W fast charging solution along with quad JBL speakers, CyberEngine ultra-wideband X-axis motor, and an exclusive gaming antenna. It is worth mentioning that both the devices are coming with similar specifications but the design and the storage make the differences between them. Specifications of Redmi K50 Gaming Edition
The latest Redmi K50 Gaming Edition features a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. It is also featuring Displaymate A+ rating and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The device is powered by the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC along with IO Turbo. The chipset is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and the device comes with up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is also featuring dual VC cooling with 4,860mm square heat dissipation area.
Speaking about the camera department, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition features a triple rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor, which is paired with a 6P lens hello with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field-of-view, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The camera department also features a Flicker Sensor. It is also coming with a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 front-facing camera. The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is priced at CNY 3,299 for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, 12GB + 128GB storage option is priced at CNY 3,599, and 12GB + 256GB variant priced at CNY 3,899. On the other hand, the special edition Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition is available with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage that is priced at CNY 4,199.
The company will start the Pre-bookings for the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition tonight and the device will be available in the market of China from February 18.
