Earlier today Redmi unveiled the 5G edition of the very popular Redmi Note 10 smartphone in China. The two models unveiled at the event are – Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity chipsets and have the latest wireless connectivity features.
The Redmi Note 10 5G smartphones also feature high refresh rate displays and come with up to three cameras on the back. Without wasting any time, let us figure out the detailed specifications and pricing of the new Redmi Note 10 5G Series smartphones.
Specifications of Redmi Note 10 5G

Starting with the display, it sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and offers a 4-level frame rate-adaptive adjustment. It sports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 10 5G smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and is accompanied by LPDDR4x RAM UFS 2.2 storage. Coming to the optics, it sports a dual rear camera that begins with a 48MP primary sensor followed by a 2MP portrait camera. The centrally aligned punch hole carries an 8MP front camera.
Regarding the connectivity options and extra features, it comes with an IR blaster, USB Type-C, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3/5mm headphone jack, GPS and so on. It is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that is paired with an 18W fast charger that comes inside the box. The software is based on MIUI 12.5 with Android 11 underneath. It will be available in Moon Shadow Silver, Qingshan Blue, Bamboo Azurite Blue, and Nebula Gray colours. It weighs 190 grams as well.

Coming to the Pro model, features a 6.6-inch LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution that supports 2400 x 1080 resolution. The display comes with a 120Hz high refresh rate paired with a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. Like the non-Pro model, this too supports an adaptive six-stage refresh rate mechanism that can switch between 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz based on the demand. The peak brightness is 450 nits and the display is protected by the flagship Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. In addition, Redmi has fitted a ‘quadruple cooling system’ that includes VC (Vapor Chamber), graphite, thermally conductive gel, and copper foil to provide a heat dissipation area of 16370mm².
Speaking about the camera, it packs a triple-rear camera setup that begins with a 64MP camera followed by an 8MP sensor paired with a 120-degree FOV lens. Finally, there is a 2MP macro camera as well. Speaking of selfies, the company has included a 16MP shooter inside the centre-punch hole. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
Regarding the connectivity options, there is support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC 3.0, GPS and houses a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The extra features include IP53 water resistance but the device lacks a headphone jack and microSD card slot. The device runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top. The company has partnered with JBL to include Hi-Res-certified dual stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and supports a faster 67W fast charger for the first time in a Redmi Note Series.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi Note 10 5G pricing starts at CNY 1,099 ($172) for the 4GB + 128GB version, the 6GB + 128GB model is priced at CNY 1,199 ($187). The model with 8GB + 128GB is priced at CNY 1,399 ($219) and if you want to double the storage you will have to shell CNY 1,599 ($250).
The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G model with 6GB + 128GB configuration is priced at CNY 1,599 ($250), the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 1,799 ($281). Finally the maxed out 8GB + 256GB model will retail for CNY 1,999 ($313). It will come in Magic Green, Moon Soul, and Star Yarn colours and the first two will have a ‘3D stereoscopic texture’. Both models will go on sale in China from June 1.
