Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 Series in India last month. Curiously, the Series consisted of Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, starting at Rs. 13,999 after the recent hike in GST. Fans were surprised to discover the absence of Redmi Note 9.
That is about to change soon. According to several rumours, Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of Redmi 10X in China, on April 30. Don’t let the name fool you, following records of Xiaomi; this could very well be the Redmi Note 9 we all are waiting for. The company left a gap in the sub-10K-12K price segment when Redmi Note 9 Series launched in India. And Redmi Note 9 will arrive to fill it.
The rumoured specs include Mediatek G85 to power the phone. A 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a punch hole in the middle housing a 32 MP selfie shooter is expected. As for the rear camera setup, the leaks point to a quad-camera setup with 48 MP camera as the primary sensor, 8 MP ultrawide angle camera along with two 2 Mp camera for depth sensing and macro could be used.
A 5,020 mAh battery with USB Type-C charging can be expected according to the leaks from TENNA, a Chinese certification website. The event to be hosted in China on April 30 is supposed to launch this phone as Redmi 10X. During the launch, the company could also present Mi 10 Youth which has been teased with its camera proves. Finally, we could see some accessories from the company as well. We do not know what those are but stay tuned to find more about them.
If the lockdown is lifted on May 3 in India, Xiaomi could Redmi Note 9 in the coming weeks at a price point of Rs. 10,000-13,000.
