The upcoming Reliance event is expected to announce the latest Jio 5G phone and the company received ₹33,737-crore investment from Google for its 7.7 percent stake in July last year. The deal is also meant to build an Android-based operating system for affordable 4G and 5G phones in the future.
Alongside the Jio 5G phone, the company is also expected to roll out its 5G network in the country and the company is also working with Qualcomm to test the next-generation network ahead of its public rollout.
It is also expected that the Reliance will unveil JioBook during the upcoming AGM keynote and the same will be a low-cost laptop. JioBook is also believed to support 4G LTE connectivity and is based on Android-based JioOS.
