Along with the JioPhone 2, the Reliance Jio announced the much awaited JioGigaFiber at Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries. If you are unaware about the JioGigaFiber, then its the FTTH Broadband and the company claims that it can offer 1 Gbps.
The company said that the service will be rolled out in 1,100 cities and Jio claims this service will be the world’s largest greenfield fixed-line broadband once it goes official. Moreover, the JioGigaFiber will allow users some other services such as Ultra-HD entertainment on large screen TVs, multi-party video conferencing, voice-activated virtual assistant, VR gaming, digital shopping, and of course, smart home solutions.
Furthermore, the users will also get the JioGigaRouter and JioGigaTV Set-top Box which will allow users to call from one TV to another, provided it too is connected by JioGigaFiber network.
The service will goes official from August 15, and if you are interested for the service then you can register via MyJio app or from Jio’s official website. Having said that, the company will roll out the service in those areas first which have the most number of registrations.
