The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the next foldable device of the South Korea electronics giant and the device is expected to launch in next month. Having said that, recently we came across a report which suggested that the company will launch the device on February 14. Well, today official looking renders along with the complete specification details of the device surfaced online, which means now we have a pretty decent look at the device even before its official launch. So, without wasting any time let’s check out all the new details of the upcoming Samsung foldable device.
Before getting into the specification details let’s check out the official looking renders of the upcoming clamshell foldable device and it looks very close to the images which we have seen in the past weeks.
The renders suggest that the display will have a plastic bezel around the display, similar to the Galaxy Fold, and the lower part of the display sports two nubs and that two opposite plastic trims. Coming to the back, there’s an outline of the small 1.06” external display and the same is next to the dual-cameras. The screen will support Super AMOLED and both halves of the rear end have the protection of Gorilla Glass 6.
Now coming to the specification details of the device, it is tipped that the device will feature a 6.7 inch Infinity Flex Full HD+ display with 2636 X 1080 pixel resolution along with dynamic AMOLED and it will also offer 22:9 aspect ratio, and the Galaxy Z Flip will also have an external display that will feature a 1.06 inch Super AMOLED panel with 300 X 116 pixels resolution. It is also said that the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage with UFS 3.0 and there will be no support to expand the storage.
Speaking about the camera department, the upcoming clamshell device will have a 12MP dual-pixel AF, with f/1.8 aperture + 12MP ultra wide lens with f/2.2 123-degree fov; LED Flash, OIS. and the Galaxy Z Flip will support a 10MP dual-pixel AF, f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera will support the 4K @ 60fps; while the front camera will offer a 4K @ 30fps.
It is also said that the device will support the Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the same will support Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPU, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo. The device will have two-part 3,300 mAh battery, along with Quick Charge 15W support, and the device will also support 9W Qi wireless charging. Finally, the device will run on Samsung One UI 2.0 running Android 10.
