If you got an hands on experience of Galaxy S8/S8+, you know very well that though both are compact phones as compared to other phones having same screen size. But then also none of the phone can be used single handedly, as the screen sizes of 5.8” & 6.2” are still big. Many people are now expecting a smaller version of Galaxy S8 i.e. the mini version. Seems like this will gonna be true, as we have a rumour regarding the same.
According to this rumour, the Galaxy S8 mini will have a smaller 5.3” display, that will give the feel of 4.7” device because of the bezel-less design. Also the aspect ratio of the screen will be same as regular Galaxy S8/S8+ , 18.5:9. You can have a comparison of S8 mini with regular S8/S8+ from the image given below . Now talking about other specs, this rumour suggests that Galaxy S8 mini will have last year’s Snapdragon 821 processor instead of Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 that’s present in regular Galaxy S8/S8+. The RAM is same on S8 mini i.e. 4GB, but the internal storage is reduced to 32GB from the original one that has 64GB. Camera on S8 mini will also be same, 12MP Dual Pixel Rear Camera. Also it might have iris scanner.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. If these specs will come out to be true, then I am sure that this phone will have a huge sales as all previous mini versions like Galaxy S5 mini was flagship by name only, specs were very mediocre.
