Flip phones are hard to survive in the kingdom of Smartphone, but there’s something special about a retro style device. After announcing last year, Samsung is now launching the Samsung Folder 2 with practical retro design powered by modern amenities to survive in this period.The Samsung Folder 2 offers the simplicity of a flip phone and the functionality of a smartphone.
The Galaxy Folder 2 features a 3.8-inch display, powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor coupled 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB storage runs on Android 6.0, with expandable storage up to 256GB, the power house is a removable 1,950mAh battery. The phone is also expected to feature an 8-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel front shooter.
The Galaxy Folder 2 also has a set of physical buttons for contacts, texts, and the camera, as well as a button dedicated to social media apps There are no buttons located on left side of the smartphone, while the volume rocker is located on the right side of the smartphone. Customizations include a widget that provides quick access to the pedometer and data usage information with “Easy Mode” to increase icon and text size.Additionally, the phone includes 15 special ringtones.
Samsung will sell both a 3G and an LTE version of the Galaxy Folder 2, starting at 297,000 won ($260) and available in both black and burgundy colors.
