Three days back Samsung announced there most awaited and flagship smartphone, Galaxy S8 and S8+. There are some carrier editions for USA like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. Now Samsung has announced a new variant of Galaxy S8 and S8+, the Microsoft edition. So what’s inside this Microsoft edition? Let’s find out.
Many tech enthusiasts and Samsung users know that from past 1 year, Samsung phones are coming preloaded with some Microsoft apps like Skype, OneDrive and Office. But not with all windows apps. Now with this Microsoft edition of Galaxy S8 and S8+, all the Microsoft apps will come preloaded with both phones. Even Microsoft’s own AI system Cortana will come preloaded with this edition. So nothing is changed in the internals of this edition, only some added bloatware and one more AI system. In this edition both phones will have three AI systems; Bixby, Google Assistant and Cortana.
As of now we don’t have confirmed information regarding the pricing of this edition. If the pricing will be higher than regular variants, then there’s no sense to buy this because Bixby and Google Assistant are better than Cortana. And all Microsoft apps can easily be installed from Play Store. As of now this variant is only announced for USA, there’s no information about other countries.
