The South Korean electronics giant Samsung seems to refresh its mid range chipset series as the upcoming Samsung Exynos 1480 mobile processor appears on the popular benchmarking website Geekbench and the same reveals the performance details of the chipset. The upcoming processor is expected to come with the new Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone.
The upcoming Exynos 1480 appears on Geekbench with model number S5E8845 and the same features an octa-core architecture with four efficiency cores clocked at 2.05GHz and the rest four performance cores at 2.75GHz.
It is also revealed that the upcoming Exynos 1480 mobile processor will also feature a base frequency of 2.05GHz and the same will be paired with Samsung’s Xclipse 530 GPU for the graphical task.
The benchmarking website also reveals that the upcoming Exynos 1480 mobile processor has managed to score 882 points in the single-core test and 2808 points in the multi-core test.
Separately, it is reported that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone will be the first to come with Exynos 1480 as it is already being tested. We believe that Samsung will be launching the phone in the first quarter of next year.
