The South Korean electronics giant, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Book Pro 360 and Galaxy Book Pro laptop series during the Galaxy Unpacked April 2021 event. The company also launched Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Odyssey during the event. Let us explore these notebooks in detail and see their launch pricing and availability.
Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360
It comes in two display sizes – 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch both will AMOLED Full HD panels. It is powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel processors. The Core i3 variants will be paired with Intel UHD Graphics whereas the Core i5 and i7 variants will have Intel Iris Xe GPU inside. The larger model also offers NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU. Coming to storage and memory, the 13.3-inch Galaxy Book models have 8GB/16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage whereas the 15.6-inch one will have a variant with 32GB of RAM.
In terms of connectivity, the smaller model comes with both Wi-Fi and 5G whereas the larger one settles for Wi-Fi only. Other options In both models include Wi-Fi 6E Ready, Wi-Fi (GIg+), 802.11 ax 2×2, and Bluetooth v5.1. Speaking of I/O, there is a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB Type-C ports, a 3.5pi headphone/mic, and a microSD card slot. Other features include a 720p HD camera, dual-array mic, AKG, and Dolby Atmos sound, Pro Keyboard, and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the power key.
It will run Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Home Pro versions out of the box. The 13.3-inch model gets a 63Whr battery whereas the 15.6-inch one gets a 68Whr battery, Both models support 65W USB Type-C charging. The 13-3-inch model weighs 1.04KG (Wi-Fi) and 1.10KG (5G). The 15.6-inch model weighs 1.39KG.
The 13.3-inch model is priced at $1,200 and the 15.6-inch model will be sold for $1,300. It will be available in Mystic Navy, Mystic Silver, and Mystic Bronze colours. The official sales will begin on May 14.
Samsung Galaxy Book
It comes with a 15.6-inch TFT LCD display with Full HD resolution. Under the hood, the Galaxy Book offers a variety of processors such as Intel Core/Pentium Gold/Celeron variants and these can be matted with Intel Iris X, Intel UHD Graphics or NVIDIA GeForce MX450. It is available with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
The software out of the box is Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Home Pro. It is backed by a 54Whr battery paired with a 65W USB Type-C charger. In terms of connectivity, it features LTE, Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), 802.11 ax 2×2, and Bluetooth v5.1. The I/O ports include two USB Type-C ports, a USB 3.2 port, an HDMI port, a 3.5pi headphone/mic slot, a security slot, a microSD slot, and a nano-SIM slot.
Like the previous model it offers a 720p HD camera, dual-array mic, Dolby Atmos audio, and a Pro keyboard, In addition, users can opt for a model with a fingerprint scanner embedded on the power button. It will be available in Mystic Silver and Mystic Blue colours. It weighs 1.59KG. The pricing of the model hovers around $1000 and will be available from May for purchase.
Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey
Finally, there is the Galaxy Book Odyssey that comes with a 15.6-inch TFT LCD display and Full HD resolution. Under the hood, it’s powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel processors and paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB of NVMe SSD. You can opt for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Max-Q and NVIDIA 3050 Max-Q GPU to handle graphics-intensive tasks.
The I/O included two USB-C ports, three USB-A 3.2, an HDMI, headphone/mic jack, a MicroSD slot, a security slot, and an RJ45. The connectivity options available are Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), 802.11 ax 2×2, Bluetooth v5.1, and Gigabit Ethernet. It is backed by an 83Whr battery and paired with a 135W USB Type-C charger. It weighs 1.85KG. It will be available in Mystic Black Colour.
