The Samsung Galaxy Fold which was the first commercially launched foldable device and that happened in last year, but the company faced some technical issues and that’s why the availability of the device was delayed and it was started to sell in the last quarter of last year. We are hearing about Galaxy Z Flip and that will be unveiled in next month along with the Galaxy S20 series and that is also a foldable device with the clamshell form factor. However, now we got a new piece of information which suggests that the company is working on the second generation of Galaxy Fold and that will be dubbed as the Galaxy Fold 2.
According to the source, the South Korean electronics giant Samsung is working on the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 which will be the successor of the Galaxy Fold and the company will launch the device in the second quarter of this year. The source also says that the upcoming device will follow the form factor of the first generation and it will feature an 8 inch display when it is unfolded, and it will also come with a 108 megapixel primary sensor along with ultra thin Glass on top of the display. This means the company is not implementing the plastic material like it has done with the device which was unveiled in last year. Moreover, the company will launch the device with S-Pen.
That’s not all, the source also says that the upcoming Galaxy foldable device will be powered by the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and the device will also support 5G connectivity.
