The South Korean electronics giant Samsung is currently working on its first ever glasses called the Samsung Galaxy Glasses and the same is expected to be announced later this year. Samsung will be launching its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Glasses with Android XR and it means the device will be coming with Gemini built-in. Google is expected to announce the Android XR platform at Google I/O next month.
The company is also expected to work with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster on the frames. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Glasses are said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 chipset, and the device will be supporting Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 5.3. It will come with a 155 mAh battery along with a 12MP camera using the Sony IMX681 sensor, and directional speakers. Samsung is believed to launch the device with a weight of about 50g.
It is expected that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Glasses might be unveiled during Samsung’s summer Unpacked event in July along with the folding devices including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, the Galaxy Z Flip8, and the Galaxy Z Fold Wide.
