Samsung has announced the Galaxy M42 5G which is the cheapest 5G smartphone from the brand. If you remember, it is a rebranded version of the Galaxy A42 which was released in September as an exclusive to the European markets. The Samsung Galaxy A32 4G features a 6.6-inch S-AMOLED Infinity-U display and it is Samsung’s term for the waterdrop like notch. It features a display resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC, and the same is matted with 6/8 GB RAM. In terms of storage, the device is coming with 128 GB of internal storage and that can be expandable up to 1TB via a MicroSD card.
Speaking about the camera department the latest Samsung Galaxy A42 5G smartphone features a quad rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor and f/1.8 aperture lens, along with an 8-megapixel sensor ultrawide lens with 119-degree FOV. The other two cameras are two 5MP units for depth and macro shots. It also has a front camera of 20-megapixel. It also supports the in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, headphone jack, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and the same runs on the Android 11 operating system with One UI 3.1 on top. The smartphone weighs 190 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G smartphone has been unveiled with an introductory price of ₹19.999 and the sales will start from May 1.
