Early this month, the South Korean electronics giant Samsung unveiled the much awaited flagship device called Galaxy Note 9. Well, today the company has launched the device in the Indian market. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 sports 6.4 inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display along with 18:5:9 aspect ratio and has 2960 X 1440 pixels resolution. The device is powered by 2.7 GHz Exynos 9810. The device will have two variants ā one with the 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage and the other one with 8 GB of RAM with 512 GB of internal storage. The device also supports storage expansion up to 512 GB via MicroSD card.
It comes with dual camera setup at the back and it is in the combination of 12 megapixel Super Speed Dual Pixel (wide-angle lens, 1.4 µm pixel size, variable aperture: f1.5/f2.4, OIS) + 12 MP (telephoto lens, 1.0 µm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture, OIS) with 2x Optical Zoom, up to 10x Digital Zoom, Scene Optimizer, Flaw Detection, Live Focus, AR Emoji, 960 FPS, Super Slow-Mo, HDR and LED flash. That said, the rear cameras have dual optical image stabilization. The device also has an 8 megapixel front camera with f/1.7 aperture. Moreover, the camera department is also powered by the artificial intelligence features such as Scene Recognition. Moreover, the device is IP68 dust and water resistance, Heart rate monitor, Dolby Atmos, AKG-tuned speakers, and advanced cooling for better performance. The Galaxy Note 9 does support the fingerprint scanner and also has Face Unlock + Iris Scanning for the extra layer of security.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is also coming with the S Pen which is a common factor of the Note series, and this year the S Pen is coming with a lot of improvements. As it is powered by the Bluetooth low energy and it enables more power to the user. It can be used as the remote of the Galaxy Note 9, as it can able to capture images and also controls various applications by pressing the button of the stylus. The S Pen gets charged to the Bluetooth off the device and it can be done by secure it inside the Note 9. Furthermore, the company claims that just 40 seconds of charge will give 30 minutes of use.
In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 supports single and dual hybrid SIM depending upon the market along with the dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Gigabit LTE with support for speeds up to 1.2Gbps. Having said that, the Samsung DeX is now built in the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and that means users will get a desktop-like an experience by connecting in a monitor using the Type C to HDMI adaptor. The Galaxy Note 9 runs on Android Oreo 8.1 and it is backed on a huge 4,000 mAh battery with the wireless charging support.
Pricing and availability of Samsung Galaxy Note 9
The 128 GB storage variant is priced at ā¹67,900, and the 512 GB storage variant is priced at ā¹84,900. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be available from August 24.
