The South Korean electronics giant Samsung unveiled its latest and greatest Samsung Galaxy S22 series last week and the company has introduced the devices with heavy specifications and Samsung has introduced its Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra variant with S Pen. The company has already confirmed that may Indian variant of the latest Galaxy S series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship mobile processor which is something new as the company usually introduces Galaxy S series in India with Exynos chipsets. Well, now the company has officially revealed the launching date of the new smartphone series in India and the same is happening as soon as tomorrow.
Samsung has officially confirmed that the new Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be official in the market of India tomorrow that is February 17 and the event will be live streamed through its official YouTube channel and other social media channels.

Samsung Galaxy S22
The vanilla variant of the series is called Samsung Galaxy S22 and the same features a 6.1-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate display along with the protection of Gorilla Glass Victus+, and the body of the device is protected by Armor Aluminium. The display of the smartphone is also featuring Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield and which will protect your eyes from blue light control. It is also coming with a punch hole setup set at the centre position of the screen. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile processor along with 8GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1).
Speaking about the camera department, the latest Samsung Galaxy S22 features a triple rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 50-megapixel primary Dual Pixel wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens and autofocus; a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 120-degree field-of-view; and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens featuring 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS). It also supports a 10-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and an 80-degree field-of-view.
Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It is also featuring an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Samsung Galaxy S22 packs a 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast charging solution and the device also supports 15W wireless charging as well as Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. The device runs on Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy S22+
Speaking about the Samsung Galaxy S22+, it is featuring a 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield for blue light control along with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,750 nits. The device is also coming with a punch hole setup set at the centre position of the screen. It is also powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1).
Talking about the camera department, Samsung Galaxy S22+ features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 120-degree field-of-view along with a 50-megapixel primary Dual Pixel autofocus wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens; and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS) as well as an f/2.4 aperture lens. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the most premium smartphone of the series and it is also the first S-series smartphone to feature an S Pen built-in. The S Pen is coming with a 70 percent lower latency. It is also coming with a large 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate along with a punch hole setup set at the centre position of the screen, and it is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. The display of the smartphone also features a peak brightness level of 1,750 nits and it is also coming with updated Wacom technology. Similar to the other two models of the smartphone series, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is also powered by an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device supports 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
