The South Korean electronics giant Samsung finally announced its latest and greatest Samsung Galaxy S22 series last week and the devices are expected to be announced in India anytime soon as the company has started the pre-booking of the devices. Well, if you are someone who watches the smartphone industry closely then you will definitely be aware that Samsung launches its Samsung Galaxy S series in India with the Exynos series mobile chipset but it will not like that in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.
Samsung has officially confirmed that all the devices of the latest flagship smartphone series will be announced in India with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that means this year, the Indian users are going to experience the Snapdragon powdered Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones.
Unfortunately, there is no information on the launching date of the devices in the country but it is expected to be announced around March 11. If you are unaware about the specifications of the smartphone series then you can check it out below.
Samsung Galaxy S22
The vanilla variant of the series is called Samsung Galaxy S22 and the same features a 6.1-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate display along with the protection of Gorilla Glass Victus+, and the body of the device is protected by Armor Aluminium. The display of the smartphone is also featuring Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield and which will protect your eyes from blue light control. It is also coming with a punch hole setup set at the centre position of the screen. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile processor along with 8GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1).
Speaking about the camera department, the latest Samsung Galaxy S22 features a triple rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 50-megapixel primary Dual Pixel wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens and autofocus; a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 120-degree field-of-view; and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens featuring 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS). It also supports a 10-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and an 80-degree field-of-view.
Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It is also featuring an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Samsung Galaxy S22 packs a 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast charging solution and the device also supports 15W wireless charging as well as Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. The device runs on Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy S22+
Speaking about the Samsung Galaxy S22+, it is featuring a 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield for blue light control along with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,750 nits. The device is also coming with a punch hole setup set at the centre position of the screen. It is also powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1).
Talking about the camera department, Samsung Galaxy S22+ features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 120-degree field-of-view along with a 50-megapixel primary Dual Pixel autofocus wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens; and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS) as well as an f/2.4 aperture lens. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the most premium smartphone of the series and it is also the first S-series smartphone to feature an S Pen built-in. The S Pen is coming with a 70 percent lower latency. It is also coming with a large 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate along with a punch hole setup set at the centre position of the screen, and it is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. The display of the smartphone also features a peak brightness level of 1,750 nits and it is also coming with updated Wacom technology. Similar to the other two models of the smartphone series, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is also powered by an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device supports 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
Regarding the camera setup, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra features a quad rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 108-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens and support for 3x optical zoom, and the device is also having a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/4.9 aperture lens and 10x optical zoom. The camera department also supports Space Zoom with 10x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom with AI Super Resolution technology. The device is also featuring a 40-megapixel camera sensor on the front with an f/2.2 aperture lens.
