The South Korean electronics giant Samsung is gearing up to launch its new flagship lineup for 2024 called the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and the same is expected to be announced on January 18. Before the launch, the company is securing all the needful certifications as today the vanilla variant of the upcoming smartphone lineup appears on an important certification platform and that confirms the availability in the global market. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone appears on the IMDA certification platform and the listing confirms the company will be launching the device in the market of Singapore. The certification platform does not offer any other information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone.
Based on the previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy S24 will feature a 6.2-inch FHD+ display whereas the S24 Plus will come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ screen and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch display along with a QHD+ resolution. The entire smartphone series will come with a Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel along with 2,600 nits peak brightness and they will be IP68-certified against dust and water. Both the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will feature an armour aluminium 2.0 whereas the S24 Ultra will be coming with a titanium build.
Speaking about the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will feature a 50MP main camera whereas the S24 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary sensor. The entire smartphone series will come with up to 8K video recording. The standard and Plus models will support 30x space zoom and dual telephoto mode. While the Ultra variant will feature quad telephoto with 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x support.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor but in some markets, it is expected to come with the Exynos chipset. The vanilla variant is expected to come with 8GB RAM paired with 128GB and 256GB storage options. While the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 Ultra will be coming with 12GB RAM and 256GB and 512GB storage variants. The devices are reported to come with a 4,000, 4,900, and 5,000mAh battery respectively. The vanilla variant is said to charge the battery to 50 percent in 30 minutes whereas the S24 Plus and S24 Ultra will reportedly go from zero to 65 percent in 30 minutes.
