Samsung’s next S9 will not be completely revolutionary as it is not going to be the one expected by all of us.
Samsung Galaxy S9 will not come with an in display fingerprint scanner, but Samsung is working on the refinement of the Galaxy S8’s design and specs. Recently the company released a report from the sources ‘ Inside and Outside Samsung Electronics. Which states that Samsung is working on a 5.8-inch and a 6.2-inch display design for both Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus with the same infinity Display as we saw them sporting in Galaxy S8.
This time Samsung has ignored the 2D face recognition due to limitations and concerns over the intense security. OS the device will have a 2D face recognition at the front. This will lag the device in terms of Augmented Reality technology.
The camera technology is quite interesting as Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus will have a dual camera setup with three layer sensor setup which is capable of capturing 1000 shots in 1 second.
Project Star: Samsung Galaxy S9 (SM-G960 – Star 1) and Galaxy S9 Plus (SM-G965 – Star 2). Definitely a "tock" year. More to come…

So overall the device is said to be an upgrade rather than an innovation both in terms of Hardware and Software. One more thing to be noted is Samsung is also working on an AI system which is called Galaxy AI UX. Share your thoughts about the 2018 Flagship.
