Along with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 South Korean electronics giant Samsung has unveiled yet another tablet and it is called Samsung Galaxy Tab A. This tablet is meant for kids and family, as it comes with the ‘Kids Mode’, which will allow parents to manage content and usage time for their little ones. So, let’s dive into the article to know the specification, pricing, and availability details of the newly launched Galaxy Tab A.
The Galaxy Tab A sports 10.5 inch display along with the 16:10 aspect ratio and has 1920 X 1200 pixels resolution. The device is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor and paired with 3 GB RAM along with Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of storage, the device has 32 GB of internal storage and can be expandable up to 400 GB via microSD card.
Speaking about the camera department, the device has 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with the 5 megapixel front facing camera. As I mentioned above that the device is meant for kids and it has the Kids Mode that features some applications like Kid Browser, Galaxy Apps for Kids, and eight child-friendly apps.
Talking about the connectivity, the device has two variants 4G LTE and Wi-Fi only, it also supports GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and USB 2.0 Type-C. The tablet runs on Android Oreo 8.1, and backed on a massive 7,300 mAh.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the 4G LTE variant has the price tag of $449.99 (approx. ₹30,800) and the Wi-Fi variant is priced at $379.99 (approx. ₹26,000). And it will be available from August 24 in the US, however, there is no word about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
