Apart from the Galaxy Z Fold3, Samsung also launched another folding smartphone i.e. Galaxy Z Flip3. This one has the flip folding style, which is adopted from older feature phones. This one also has improved built and better design, just like Galaxy Z Fold3. So without further ado, let’s see what this Galaxy Z Flip3 packs inside.
Design & Display:
As I said earlier, it has flip style folding display which is designed for compactness, rather than bigger sized foldable display like Z Fold3. It has the same 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED inside foldable display as it’s predecessor, but this time it also got 120Hz refresh rate. It has support for HDR10+ and has peak brightness of 1200 nits. The outer one is bigger 1.9-inch Super AMOLED display with 260 x 512 resolution. It also gets IPX8 water resistance certification now.
The outer display and back is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus. The frame is made up of stronger Armor Aluminium, just like the Fold3. It weighs at 183 grams and is 6.9mm thin when unfolded, and 17.1mm thin when folded. And as this device has compact form factor, it comes with seven colors i.e. Cream, Green, Lavender, Phantom Black, Gray, White, and Pink. Samsung will also launch a bunch of different colored cases with metal ring or leather strap, making it look like more of a fashion accessory.
Performance:
This Galaxy Z Flip3 comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset built on 5nm process and has Adreno 660 GPU. It has 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. It runs in OneUI 3.5 on top of Android 11, with improved optimization for Flip Folding display.
Camera & Other Specifications:
Regarding camera, this Galaxy Z Flip3 comes with same setup as it’s predecessor, which consists of dual 12MP sensors at the back, with one being regular f1.8 lens, Dual Pixel Autofocus, OIS, and other being ultra wide sensor with f2.2 lens & 123° POV. The front camera is the same 10MP shooter as well. The main camera can recording up to 4K at 60fps.
It packs in the 3,300mAh battery with just 15W wired charging support, same as Flip2. It has side mounted fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers as well. For connectivity it has 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and Type-C port.
